Differences between Managed and Non-Managed product lines
Both the Zubr Managed Dedicated Server and Zubr Non-Managed Dedicated Server give Customers the power to fully control the resources. From creating the user accounts, to allocating storage space, to installing software, it is the Customers. ultimate choice to decide how the server is used, who has access to it or what is the software that it runs. The difference between the Managed Dedicated Server and the Non-Managed Dedicated Server is where the responsibility of the service provider stops and Customer's begins.
Non-Managed VPS and Non-Managed Dedicated Servers
Our non-managed services consist of Non-Managed VPS, Non-Managed Dedicated Server and Non-Managed Colocation product lines. With Non-Managed VPS and Non-Managed Dedicated Server after initial installation of the operating system, Zubr Communications responsibility resides in making sure that the critical server components (CPU, memory, disk subsystem, network subsystem and power supplies ) or the components of the host server carrying the non-managed VPS are functioning propertly. At the time the Non-Managed service is turned over to the Customer, Zubr Communications will verify that the non-managed services is accessible via network using SSH (Linux/FreeBSD) or Remote Desktop (Windows). It is the Customer who is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, upgrades, installation and configuration of the software as well as the upkeep of the operating system.
Managed VPS and Managed Dedicated Servers
Zubr Managed Dedicated Server product line lets the Customer to cost-effectively outsource the system and software maintenance, upgrade and troubleshooting functions to Zubrcom, while still maintaining the ultimate control over the server(s). By choosing the appropriate management plan (Basic, Silver, Gold) the Managed Dedicated Server customers can address the specific management requirements with ease.
