Zubr Dedicated Servers - Standard Support Levels

Overview

Zubr Communications provides comprehensive support of the base operating systems, major software packages installed on the servers as well as the additional software installed and operated on its dedicated servers.

At the present time, Zubr Communications supports Linux, FreeBSD, Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 platforms. The support for other operating systems is provided on a case by case basis.

Linux/FreeBSD Dedicated Managed Services

As a part of managed services on Linux or FreeBSD platform Zubr Communications provides tiered services covering basic and advanced system management functions, ranging from maintenance and upgrades of kernel, system libraries and base system, system security, web and database services software, all the way to the advanced firewall configuration and monitoring, Intrusion Detection Systems, Content Management Systems or Wikis.

Windows 2000, Windows 2003 Dedicated Managed Services

As a part of standard service for the customers subscribing to the Windows-based dedicated service, Zubrcom will maintain the base functionality of the operating system, including installation of necessary patches and security updates, maintaining current anti-Virus software and implementing system protection measures. Zubrcom will also maintain Internet Information Server, Apache (if installed), database connectors, including SQL server, and all the software installed on the server by Zubrcom, including Perl and PHP scripting environments, .NET and FrontPage extensions (if installed).

Non-Managed Servers(s), Co-located Server(s)/Equipment, Software not covered by the Managed Plans

Customers subscribing to the unmanaged dedicated server offering, co-location Customers or Customers whose managed service subscription level does not cover some of the software, can request Zubr Communications to perform managed services. While availability and delivery timing of such service(s) cannot be guaranteed, Zubr Communications will strive to accomplish such service in the most expedient manner. Such services are provided based on the rate sheet below. Zubr Communications always advises Customers to utilize its managed services to guarantee the up-most promptness and the efficiency in addressing Customer's issue.
